There is no doubt that professionalism and knowledge are crucial for success, but the real secret lies in interpersonal skills and communication.
We may be software tester, but we work with people!
Interpersonal skills and excellent communication appear in 99% of job requirements. It is an important demand in general, but especially in the QA role, along with independent work and teamwork.
Â
Following my previous article Tap Here ,let us dive into the importance of excellent communication and interpersonal skills in the QA role, specifically in an Agile.
Â
On one hand, you could say that a tester manages their work in the sprint independently: reading specifications, writing test scripts, running tests, and opening bugs if needed.
Â
On the other hand, testers collaborate with their squad, and the pace of work does not depend solely on them. The test scripts might be ready, but if the developer has not deployed the development to testing environment, the tester has no way to run the scripts successfully.
Or, if setting up a particular environment or specific preconditions is required, this might depend on other people to create. The tester cannot move forward until then.

Remember, we are at the center of the processes!
This is why, especially in the QA role, it is crucial to establish proper communication, starting from receiving the scope along with professionalism and knowledge .
During planning you must ensure the order and pace of work with all involved parties, understand the process, the specification, the required level of testing, and the amount of time allocated for tests, all while maintaining good interpersonal relationships. This helps create a smooth, pleasant, and efficient workflow.

Do so and they will enjoy working with you, listen to you more, and you will have greater influence on processes.
-THAT IS THE REAL SUCCESS-
Â
✅A tip from me: if you find yourself with some free time, you can help testers in other squads.
Offering mutual assistance and becoming more involved contributes to the overall environment, helps advance the work, and enhances your expertise in various areas.

Everyone wins.
